I am investigating how growing up affects the choices of our everyday lives.  I utilized personal images of my sister through my investigation to represent the idea of growth, and I incorporated the concept of the subconscious through the use of the shadowed figure or duplicated figure in works. I experimented with mixed media in my etchings which was a catalyst for my other works. Valuing the use of material, I utilized color, movement, and repetition to convey a different message for each of my works because with each piece came a deliberate choice of medium. As we grow older our decisions become more evident, and I hope you see that in my work.
